In addition, due to the nature of their illness, more and more people are seeking treatment and care from private hospitals; and the rising medical cost is of utmost concern to these patients and their families.

Illness like a coronary artery heart by-pass can cost as much as RM30,000-RM40,000 alone whilst an angioplasty can cost as much as RM30,000. PRUMAJOR MED

PRUmajor Med (PMM) is a unique medical plan at a competitive premium and is designed to cover the major expenses normally incurred in hospitalisation.

Free Choice of Hospitals and Doctors

You can choose any hospital or doctor whom you are comfortable with to treat your illness.

Reimbursement As Charged

Together with pre-selected room and board, all hospitalisation and surgical expenses will be reimbursed as charged, subject to benefit limits.

Outpatient Treatment

Actual charges incurred for consultation, treatment, investigation and diagnosis tests for both events can be claimed subject to stipulated periods prior to and after hospitalisation. If medically necessary, home nursing care is granted subject to a limited period.

24 Hours Worldwide Cover

No matter where you are, your policy pays equivalent local cost for overseas treatment.

Emergency Medical Assistance

Prudential have appointed a third party service provider, AEA International, who can provide the following assistance both internationally and locally:
* Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation services
* Repatriation of mortal ramains
* Guarantee of medical expenses incurred during hospitalisation (Limit of US5,000 per event for international, and RM5,000 for local).
* Arrange of appointments with doctors and/ or hospital admission
* Referral services
* Telephone medical advice

Guaranteed Renewability

Unlike other medical plans which reserve the right to cancel the policy upon anniversary date, PRUmajor Med is guaranteed to be renewed. This ensures that you will enjoy continuous coverage.

Income Tax Relief

You can qualify for income tax relief up to RM2,000 for medical insurance.
